It was built in 2010 and added onto to mostly surround the pool in 2012. The floor is all 2x6 construction. The top board of my railing is 5/4 deck boards. In the last few years I seem to replace some 2x6's every year. The 5/4 boards still look just fine no punky spots warping etc. If I did it today I'd use the 5/4 deck boards for the floor.

5/4 to me usually means anything from about 1" to 1 1/8" thick. I've seen treated wood anywhere from 1" to 1 1/4" thick depends on the dryness. so a 5/4" X 6" will be closer to 1" X 5 1/2" but the 8' should still be 8'. If I was buying 5/4" finished wood I'd expect it to be a consistent 1". Doug
